La Gialla GF Strada

The route
100 exciting kilometres across Romagna and Marche, from the temple of speed to the nature at the heart of Valle del Conca.
The start of the race (at 8 AM) will be on the start-finish straight of the Marco Simoncelli circuit; from then on the race will continue in the direction of Pesaro, on the Statale Adriatica road. The first “vista” on the sea will begin in Gabicce Mare, leading all the way to Fiorenzuola di Focara, before embarking in a steep descent, brief but intense, towards the Valico della Siligata . After a few ups and downs, we will climb towards Monteluro and then downhill in the direction of Pirano di Tavullia, the reign of Valentino Rossi. After approximately 37 km from the start, gently climbing all the way to Santa Maria del Monte, we will be back in Romagna.
After a break from the slopes, around Morciano di Romagna, we will resume climbing, the hard way: first by reaching Montefiore Conca, with a 270 m drop in 6 km, followed by a gorgeous descent in Pedrosa, demanding due to its incline, with nice tarmac and an enchanting wood as a background. In the square of Montefiore, at the feet of its Malatesta fortress, built in the XV century, there will be a rest stop.
Once the descent is over, we will go up again reaching Gemmano, thanks to a very demanding climb, with an average slope of approximately 10%, with peaks of 15%. This is where the cronoscalata (uphill time trial) will take place, with a timed section of 2.7 km.
We will enter the Valle di Onferno, where you will find the second rest stop, then a descent towards the Valle del Conca at Molino Renzini.
We are 73 km from the start. We finally get to a “falsopiano” (slight slope, so slight it looks like a plain) before crossing the river Conca in the fraction of Taverna. Time to embark in a “mangia e bevi” (“eat and drink”, a section that alternates easy sections and difficult sections) of one and a half kilometres on a white road, immersed in nature, that will take you to the ancient Carbognano Sanctuary.
The last interesting climb is towards Croce di Montecolombo, with a panoramic stroll in San Clemente and then a slight descent until Misano Monte, where you will be able to spot from above the Misano World Circuit, final destination of this “granfondo” race.
Just under 10 km of descent and plain, with a sprint arrival under the finishing line, along the straight road of the MWC Square, multi-purpose space of the circuit, inaugurated in 2021.
